Tsunami Relief Benefit for Toba, Japan
The Japan earthquake and tsunami caused $24 million in damage to the oyster and seaweed farms of our Japanese Sister City of Toba. During the devastating 1990 Painted Cave fire in Santa Barbara, Toba’s citizens donated $16,000 to Santa Barbara. The money was used to plant trees in Tuckers Grove and Alpha School. We invite you to join us in raising funds to help our Sister City of Toba.
The event includes: Buffet provided by local restaurants, silent auction, and drumming by Taiko Center of Los Angeles. Honorary Chairperson, Santa Barbara Mayor, Helene Schneider.
